Check out this public art display that just went up in Battery Park in NY. Artist Ugo Rondinone created these trees by casting two olive trees in rubber. The work is an exploration of the "themes of time and displacement, and the relationship between natural and artificial environments." I love how fantastical they are, like an enchanted forest in the middle of concrete...
