winter craft swap: the art of giving

Free People is hosting a winter craft swap called The Art of Giving! It's been a long time since our last swap, so I am super excited. Join us in handcrafting some amazing gifts for your fellow Free People friends and spread the winter cheer.
Here's how it works: You fill out the simple form with your name, email, and mailing address. People outside the United States are welcome to join, but if you live in the U.S., you can indicate if you do not want to ship internationally. I will match you up with a partner and send you their email and shipping address.
You'll have until New Years to make a gift and mail it to your partner. You can make anything you want. The wintery theme can be your inspiration. You can make something to keep warm, decorate your home, or simply make your partner smile.
Click here to join the swap. Sign up will end next Friday, November 21.
Check out some of our old flickr groups from previous swaps! Valentine 08, Dark Fairy, Travel, and Valentine 07.

I just signed up! I think this is such a cool idea, and I love that I can make something for someone I don't know who will appreciate the craftyness of it :)

yay! i'm in a very crafty mood lately and have been looking for excuses to create and give (other than to friends/fam for the holidays) little homemade treasures. i just went through all of my vintage fabrics, beads, sequins, buttons, all sorts of goodies!

This is a great idea! but shouldn't we know a little something about our partner? maybe an idea of what they like... just a suggestion! in any case this sounds like SO MUCH FUN!

Hi Emma! Once I have the partners set up, you will receive their email address and can ask them anything you want! So if you want to make something specific to their tastes, you can ask them some "getting to know you" questions.

Hi :o) I think this is a fantastic and inspirational idea to swap a little art work with a stranger in a far away place. Can`t wait, but I signed up and as yet haven`t heard a word about who my "swap buddy" will be. Is this because I live all the way up in the icy reaches of Northern Norway?
