giant dollhouse

benning_dollhouse_det.jpg
Artist Heather Benning created this life-size dollhouse from an abandoned farmhouse in Saskatchewan! One outside wall has been completely replaced with plexiglass to create the dollhouse view. Heather also decorated the house with 60′s furnishings, on account of that is when the house was apparently abandoned. I would love to go and visit this in real life! I would be overcome with the desire to go in though – that is always my problem with regular sized dollhouses – I want to get in somehow!

I’ve visited the dollhouse, it is so cute! It is in the middle of nowhere on a lonely highway and you have to be careful not to miss it, because from the road it just looks like any abandoned house that lingers along the country roads. It is furnished exactly like my grandmother’s country house. I hope you get a chance to see it in real life!

The Dollhouse is so cute, I found it along the highway this past fall. What an interesting concept and you have to be careful not to miss it as you go along the road as the outside is pretty inconspicuous. It reminded me of my grandma’s old countryhouse.
