DIY felted beads!

These chunky felted bead necklaces are so cool! I love how they look, and you know they probably are fun to touch as well! Kleas made the ones shown above with her pre-school class, who then took the necklaces home to their mothers!
She put together some very nice how-to instructions for making the felted beads and the jewelry! It looks really easy and fun, check it out!

  • that's so awesome! i love how they look in their pencily form too. it'd be cool to string them on long like that! the longest one in the middle, getting shorter and shorter on either side... ooooo, i've been inspired! X}

  • These look very similar to millefori beads created by glassmakers in Italy. Millefori means "a million flowers," which are often created by a simple formula of a center piece with several around it, rolled into a pencil shape and then cut like shown here. You can make them out of sculpey and stuff like that, too.
