what is wrong with the girl in the tree? She looks ill! It's actually really disturbing. Why would you put this up?

Hi Sol - sorry you find that image disturbing. the set of images as a whole that make up the guest post are meant to have a narrative behind them, and this narrative is up to the reader to determine. while some images, like this one, might evoke feelings of hopelessness and despair, to me the story ends on a celebratory tone...and the ability to overcome those negative emotions is something that i think lots of people can relate to.
