i saw this diy idea on the site nice package and i thought it was so cool i had to try it myself – they’re vintage photo gift tags that are super easy to make and a great way to take a plain-looking present and turn it into something special. if you like to wrap gifts in recycled newspaper or paper bags (as i do) i think these would be a really cool addition to dress it up.
get some metal gift tag rings at an arts & crafts store…i got them at a.c. moore, and they came with those little stencils on the right that make it easy when it comes to cutting out the pictures.
i used some cool images i found in magazines, and i glued some cardstock on the back to make them sturdier.
all that’s left to do is punch a hole in each one and string through twine or a thin ribbon. i like this natural hemp cord…
…and you’ve taken a plain looking gift and given it a personalized touch :)
