‘The Rhythm of the Night’

000_0025[1]Untitled-5

Surreal, lullingly pleasant, quirky and warm. Were all senses that were provoking the air around me last night.

The night was Vetiver at Johnny Brendas here in Philly.I’ve always been a huge fan of Andy Cabric, I think his voice is something very special and it helps that he can jig around a little with his guitar too!

The evening was magical, especially for a Monday night.

My wandering eye was pinned on this sweet looking folk girl and her beau. How great do they look? I think they must have jumped straight on the bus from Laurel Canyon.

A Perfect folk outfit don’t you think?

“movement, change, light, growth and decay are the lifeblood of nature, the energies that i try to tap through my work. i need the shock of touch, the resistance of place, materials and weather, the earth as my source. nature is in a state of change and that change is the key to understanding. i want my art to be sensitive and alert to changes in material, season and weather. each work grows, stays, decays. process and decay are implicit. transience in my work reflects what I find in nature.” – andy goldsworthy
