twisted classics

She grew up building dams in rivers and climbing trees. She’s been nurtured into one of the boys. She’s adventurous and not afraid of the outdoors.  Spontaneity calls to her and Skate parks are where you’d find her, swinging on bars, teasing the air around her. This girl likes to twist her favorite classics – fedoras, cargos, pinstripes and retro sneakers until they are out lived. Say hello to Lou…

I’ve been trying to get into this mindset ever since I watched the Lords of Dog town film starring Heath Ledger and Emile Hirsch (2005) however I don’t think I have the attitude!

As soon as I heard about this trend I jumped straight to Erin Wasson for inspiration (who wouldn’t… right?)

She’s at the top of the hierarchy when it come to skater cool. I take a note out of her book when it comes to styling.

“Bring your spirit into your style”

I HEART this. I love that there are different looks with their very own name. And I love that you have the description just right. That’s one thing I fell in love with about Free People long ago, how you know exactly who you are clientele is right down to how they spend their free time. Clothing that could actually fit a personality, what a concept. I wish more companies took their fashion this seriously and creatively. Thanks always Free People, we love you!

I am so happy that this kind of style was described. This is exactly how I am! I love skate parks and I love free people. I am participating in my college’s production of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” and for the cast’s biography we were to answer a series of questions similar to how FP interviews their interns. One of the questions were: “if your vagina got dressed, what would it wear?” I responded with: “a lace bandeau, a floral romper & a skateboard at hand.”

This is the epitome of my personality…bitchen chic…lol…guys girl…what is great about this style is that it is versatile…for the very laid back relaxed girl that can still wow them at the grammys (if she felt like going!)

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
