i saw this on black eiffel and i am completely in awe. a company called front created this “three dimensional wallpaper” at the swedish venue tensta konsthall using silk and plastic flowers. i want to do this in my apartment so badly! it’s so colorful and i’ve never seen anything like it.
i think it looks really cool how they’re just taped right onto the wall.
another really neat idea- hanging flowers in bottles!
i think this would look really amazing using different sized and shaped vintage bottles and dried flowers, like these:
our producer took the above photo at dunton hot springs in colorado, when they were shooting our july catalog. they also had bottles hanging on the walls of this cabin, which i thought was really cool too although i’m not sure how they’re attached to the wall…
Well I know what I’m going to be doing today now. Finding flowers and putting them on my walls!! Free People you would love my apartment, it’s like all your favorite inspirations combined with a free people store. it’s a FP home with lots of love flowing around.
kayla you should send photos, i’d love to see it! blog@freepeople.com :)
Looove the flowers on the wall and I think that flowers in glass bottles hung in front of a window with sunshine shining through would look lovely!
ah pretty but the flowers must get dusty on the wall.
the hanging flowers look so morbid !
Beautiful
I love flowers!
Gorgeous, bohemian idea!
so beautiful.
I used to do this back in high school. The chemistry teacher paid me to clean out old glass bottles in the lab after school. I’d save the vintage bottles, along with flowers from my birthday, and hang bottles of dried flowers using satin ribbon. Sadly, I don’t have any pictures, and I’ve moved out of that house since then.
Wow, those are really great ideas! I especially love the hanging flowers.
I love this! That “wallpaper” is amazing!
You could probably hang bottles on the wall by taking some kind of thick wire and tying it around the neck of the bottle, then use one of those U shaped nails to attach it to the wall.. or something like that…
