it’s the last tunesday of 2010! i was thinking back on the new albums that came out this year, and it’s always interesting to me how listening to certain music can bring back such vivid memories of specific moments. for instance, the local natives album gorilla manor – i bought it soon after breaking my ankle — and it reminds me of the first time i was able to drive again after the injury. i had it on in my car, it was sunny and spring was on its way… happy times. lcd soundsystem’s latest album will always remind me of sitting right here at my desk as they soundchecked next door before doing an end-of-summer show at the navy yard.
so many memories of the past year came rushing back as i compiled some of my favorite songs of 2010 for this playlist. i got to go to some great shows this year, and we had fp girls representing at so many festivals – SXSW, coachella, bonnaroo, wanderlust, XPN, lollapalooza and austin city limits…

flaming lips at bonnaroo was one of the best experiences ive ever had.. psychedelic show, amazing crowd, and good friends.
