Weekly updates from BLDG 25

i’m the kind of person who, when having a rough time or a lot on my mind, completely loses themself in music. today it’s the new iron and wine album, kiss each other clean. it doesn’t officially come out until next tuesday but you can stream it right here or watch it performed live in its entirety here. this album is a step in a new direction, described as “like the music people heard in their parent’s car growing up… that early-to-mid-’70s FM, radio-friendly music.”  while i’ve always been a fan of iron & wine’s quiet,  mellow folk, i like this too – sam beam’s sweet voice, the background harmonies and delicate melodies are exactly what i need right now.

listen to a few of the songs below or check out the whole album by clicking one of the links above.

Suprised I haven’t seen anything about Right Away, Great Captain! on the blog. Awesome band! Very similiar to Iron and Wine, just better in my opinion. If you haven’t heard them before, you should really listen to some songs, you won’t regret it!
