“the errant charm is a superb soundtrack for an afternoon idyll…”
…reads the first line in an article on vetiver’s website about their latest album. i would say that line applies to any vetiver album, and it’s why i love them so much. their album tight knit is one of my favorites for summer listening, whether it’s in my car on the way to the beach or on a stroll around the city streets. there is something so relaxing about the music. while making this album, bandleader andy cabic spent hours wandering the streets around san francisco’s richmond district. maybe this somehow translated to the feel of the album, and helped him to craft it as the musical equivalent of losing yourself on the streets of such an amazing place, where the breeze is always cool and, at any point, you could find yourself atop a hill with breathtaking views of city and bay sprawling out before you, waiting to be explored.
imagine doing just that while listening to a few of the songs below – can’t you tell is off the new album and is pretty much the perfect summer song, and the playlist contains some of my old favorites.

The pictures of San Francisco are breathtaking! I am so proud to say that I live only about 30-40 minutes from the city (Walnut Creek), and can go whenever, just to take in all the culture and vibrance it has to offer! Great post! xoxo
