Festival Fashion for Outside Lands from our Norcal Stores

Yesterday I showed you some festival styling ideas that I’m thinking about rocking at Outside Lands 2011, and today it’s time for the ladies who work for our Norcal stores who I’m attending the festival with!

Tammy, Senior Manager at Free People Santana Row

Looking forward to: Arcade Fire

My style in three words: Eclectic, vintage-inspired, California-casual

Favorite thing to do in San Francisco: Vintage shopping! Haight and Valencia are havens for the vintage lover, I could spend all day going from store to store, peruse for hours on end, and I never leave empty handed! It is the one thing I will never get tired of!

Why I chose this look: Due to SF’s unpredictable weather, I chose an outfit that would be easily adaptable but unique at the same time. The sweater is a great statement piece with its bold pattern, yet the neutral color palette makes it an effortless add-on to any outfit. The vegan leather shorts are the ultimate addition in counter balancing the maxi length cardi! I love everything about these shorts from the fit to the zipper detailing to the timeless style, they are surprisingly comfortable and completely irresistible! Throwing in a simple graphic tank completed the look, and its vintage appeal plays perfectly into the music festival vibe. My favorite boots keep me warm and never fail, no matter what I’m wearing! They’re durable, comfy, and ideal for the occasion!

Stacie, senior store manager for Norcal

Looking forward to: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

My style in 3 words: Feminine, soft, bohemian

Favorite thing to do in San Francisco: Spend a sunny day at Baker Beach with friends and my dogs.

Why I chose this look: I chose the lace kaftan because I am in love with anything lacy and sheer! So easy to wear and so fun with the butterfly sleeves.  My trusty go-to skinny jeans are super soft and have just enough stretch to be comfortable while walking through Golden Gate Park.  One necklace is never enough, so I love the turquoise stone against the soft rose color of the kaftan!

Marie, senior visual manager for Norcal

Looking forward to: Foster the People

My style in 3 words: Dynamic, cozy, colorful (although pictured in black) :)

Favorite thing to do in San Francisco: A sunny day spent at Dolores Park with a packed picnic!

Why I chose this look: Knowing I would be out for the day and gradually into the night, I wanted to wear something comfortable that could still look stylish as well!  The Valhala dress felt so effortless and fun.  The accessories chosen were meant to be bold and more of a statement with the all black attire.  The crossbody is a perfect solution to not carrying a bag while dancing and walking around all day.  Pairing this outfit with my vintage cowboy boots was the finishing touch for the festival!

Here is an awesome article in the Rolling Stones titled “How to Do Outside Lands Like a Local”. Pretty accurate, coming from a local. :)

The Maxi cardigan is beyond awesome. I would love to sew something like that. Haul out my table and fire up the sewing machine and I will!
