I’ve posted some of Beth Hoeckel’s work before; she’s one of those artists I always keep an eye out for new work from. I love her collages and that they’re made of found paper and archival paste, not digitally. One of my favorite hobbies is making collages, it’s something I like to do in my down time while listening to music. It’s incredibly relaxing and also a great way to express your feelings – I actually rarely show mine to people because I think of them as little visual diaries full of mixed emotions, but the cool part is that their meaning is unique to the eye of the beholder. Someone else could look at them and have no idea what the real meaning is behind them.
But I guess that’s true for most art, huh? :)

This is too funny, because I am about to go to sleep, and hopefully these images will bring me good dreams. :) I love to make collages also. And yes, I ALWAYS have music on. It makes me stop thinking, and allows me to create. Beth Hoekel’s work really is lovely!
