Saturday DO

DO: work together.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how much human beings rely on each other. From random acts of kindness on behalf of a stranger, to the everyday support and warmth we receive from friends and family, we’d be utterly lost without each other. Think of how nice it is when you have your arms full and somebody holds the door for you. Or, how grateful you are when your roommate does your dishes just because. That’s not to say that you just take, take, take, however. Maybe you help and old woman with her suitcase on the train, or get your roommate back by preparing a delicious dinner.

It’s all a cycle of giving and receiving. I like to think of it as teamwork survival. Society and life are all a big machine of people working together. When you think about it, there’s a feeling of security and warmth in that.

We get by on the kindness of others, so do something nice for somebody just because it will help them out or make them happier today. Be a team player, work together, and fill your role.

Naomi, I always look forward to reading your posts. They are so well written and always make you think. We are all interconnected and interdependent of one another. I wish more of us realized this so the world could be a more humane place.

So true. One can have all the material goods, dream~career or travel the world over. Without cherished loved ones to share good/bad fortune with… is just a cluster of empty holes, always needing to be filled.
