A Day at Free People Upper East

This past Sunday was a beautiful day in New York City, and I got to spend it at our 3rd Avenue store crafting with the lovely fp upper east girls and all the awesome ladies (and gents!) who came in! We munched on AMAZING treats made by Aly of From Graduate to Gourment, customers donated coats for the coat drive in collaboration with New York Cares, and many beautiful ornaments were made.

I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful lost garden headpiece store manager Jess was wearing – I think its a must have for the holiday season!

Our awesome fp girls, looking amazing! On the left, the miles of lace dress worn with a denim shirt, colored jeans and tall boots. On the right, the extreme flares, crafty cuff thermal and a vest.

Love this look on the left – a comfy beach maxi, tough boots, textured scarf, fringe bag and leather jacket. On the right, the miles of lace dress with tights, boots and the cropped fairisle pullover.

This is Peggy, one of Upper East’s most dedicated customers! Doesn’t she look lovely in the velvet tunic, worn with the embellished headband as a belt?new-york

A look I loved on the left, and on the right, an awesome handmade necklace – I am definitely going to do a DIY like this soon!

I made many ornaments throughout the day, but these two were my favorite – on the left, I wrapped toothpicks in string and put them and some feathers inside the ornament.  On the right, I glued the feathers to the outside of the ornament and wrapped it with some orange thread. The store girls and I were putting our ornaments on their little silver display tree – by the end of the night it looked so cute!

I spy Jenni of I Spy DIY! She and her friend Emmy stopped by towards the end of the day and made some ornaments. Jenni had the coolest polaroid camera!
