Naomi’s Homemade Granola

Our awesome little chef, FP Naomi, brought in some delicious homemade granola for us and it’s so tasty I had to ask her for the recipe. It’s perfect for snacking, especially here at our desks at work :) – and, it’s a great gift for the holidays!

Ingredients:

7 cups rolled oats
1/3 cup salted butter
1/3 cup real maple syrup
zest of 1 large orange
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup cashews
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup millet

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F.

Melt butter over low heat. Add in maple syrup, orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until well mixed together.

Pour melted mixture over your oats, and mix well.

Spread oats out on a cookie sheet and place in oven to roast for about 30-45 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes.

Chop all of your nuts in a food processor.

Cook millet to puff it up.

Throw everything into a bowl together and mix.

(or pour into mason jars, tie with a ribbon and gift away!)

Thanks Naomi :)
