This week in office style, it’s the boys vs. the girls. It’s amazing how much inspiration you can find getting passed back and forth between the two sexes. Who do you think rocks the styles best?? (boys on the left, girls on the right)

Behind the Scenes with Jessica Hart in LA!
Back detail of the beautiful Bella Donna crochet dress.
I love the laid back cali vibe of these two outfits… up top, the fp denim cutoffs, destroyed tee, sheer maxi bedroom jacket, northridge necklace and romana fest sandal; on the bottom, the must be dreamin tee, denim cutoff short and charlie converse.
My favorite outfit! The destroyed skinny jean, california love tee, studded fringe blazer and wingtip boot.
The pretty fp one pintuck slip.
The boardwalk romper looks soooo comfy!
The fp one japanese flower romper and charlie converse.

DIY Denim Phone Case
I don’t know about you guys but I beat my poor phone up – it spends most of its time in my somewhat large bag, along with many other things that knock around with it, and I’ve seen enough cracked phone screens to know that I need a more protective case for it. Read More
A slip for each girl!
I’m the type of girl that loves versatility in clothes, the more looks I can get out of one item the better, that’s why the selection of slips we have on our new homepage “a slip for each girl” is captivating me. Sometimes on the weekends You want to be super lazy, you want to lie in and just have a slow weekend. So wear a cute slip to bed of Friday then adapt It to an outfit for just popping out! Wear the Breakfast in Bed Romper then throw on a pair of jeans… an easy effortless outfit is complete.
My personality changes from a Bohemian Meadow to a Tomboy Lou so below are how I would adapt my two slips that suit my personality best!
What type of girl are you and how would you adapt your slip?

Hot Trend: Ponytail Cuffs
I don’t think I’ve used anything other than standard hair ties for ponytails since I got rid of my (extensive) collection of scrunchies, so when I saw that we were getting all of these cute ponytail cuffs in, I was really excited for a fresh take on the ponytail. It’s my go-to hair style, but it gets so boring… I am all about these cute cuffs, especially the brightly colored cut-out geometric cuff and the suede lasso pony holder! They are such a great way to add a little unexpected pop of color or texture. We had some fun trying them on today – what do you guys think, are you into this trend?

Street Style: Wide Leg Pants
This week the girls here at home office put one hand in the air for the wide leg bottoms; We dressed them up and dressed them down to see which style we enjoyed the most. The 70’s cool pant has made a return for us; we love the idea of toning the extravagant pant down with simple tops and touches of accessories. It might not be a trend for everyone but these girls rock them!

Style File: Assistant Designer (Lou)
This week’s StyleFile is an effortless beauty who’s style has a laid back California beach vibe. I don’t know if it’s her long, wavy blonde locks, the colorful friendship bracelets, or the heart tattoo on her wrist that scream Cali, but it’s definitely there. She wears a lot of stellar grunge pieces – ripped and splattered jeans, a slouchy knit hat, baggy tees, and kicks. She’ll then mix it up with an awesome Native American inspired necklace or poncho. There’s no doubt, she looks like your quintessential American girl – active and full of life. Her vivacity can’t be restricted with pompous or tailored clothing – she has no time for that.
These jeans are perfectly slouchy and distressed. Get the look with a grungy graphic tee, hat, and Converses.
This photo makes me want Summer. And colorful bracelets…
She takes the formality out of a cable knit sweater with fringe layering
In this cold Winter weather, everyone needs a good throw on poncho to stay warm.
She loves her Native American accessories just as much as the rest of us at Free People. Some great variations are on our website right now here, here, and here.
Blogger Diary: “Sometimes the light shines bright”
This weekend my mind was running overtime, running overtime with inspiring thoughts. Sometimes I just need a new twist to my weekend in order for the light to come back on again; you can get stuck in a routine and that routine can kill your mind, so Friday I went to New York to see the future Free People collection for June Wholesale. The collection was bright and poppy and reminded me of the Sun, Sand and Sea just what I needed on that brutal cold day.
Being in a new place for a couple of days gave me a new light I saw things that made my inspiration bank fill up and it made me feel alive all weekend, don’t you just love when that happens?
