DO: look the answer up in a book.
The other things you see along the way, when searching for answers in a book, are always fun. You can’t help but stop and peak in on other tid-bits as you look for your answer. The mind is hungry to learn and devour words from a page. There’s no stopping the hungry beast.
And why would you want to?
Soak it up.
Take in information from some other place than a computer screen. That’s not to say, that you should ignore the web of electronic knowledge that is available to you, but it is to say that you should supplement it by other means. Take in knowledge from all places. Oh the things you’ll learn from the scent of must and cigar lingering on the pages of some book high up on your shelf. As if the scent, itself, has something to teach you.

I love this post, looking things up “the old way” is one of those little things that makes me happy.
Mmm, I love the smell of old books, finding little notes written in the margins by former owners, the stillness of bookshops. Thank you for this post! A lovely thing to do on a Saturday.
Saturday Do is always my favorite. Peace :)
You taught me a new word today: phosphenes. Neat!
I’m known for the endless hours I spend on my laptop, and it really sucks the life out of me due to the complete lack of physically interacting in any sense. My work requires a lot of this mindless, isolated work, but I could never continue on without a break. I always like to take a walk, have a face to face conversation, and watch the children play…it maintains my soul…
Thank you for the reminder, I need to get off the computer and go call my mother.
love this one!! (actually i love all the saturday do’s and look forward to them all week!)
