The final stop of our guide to Vietnam is Hue’s Imperial City, a walled fortress and palace located in Hue, the former capital of Vietnam. Hue is located in the middle of Vietnam, and has a severe climate with scorching hot summer days and incessant rain in the winter. We spent a rainy afternoon exploring its grounds, but the weather seemed to make it even more mystically beautiful.
The grounds of the Imperial City were surrounded by a wall and a moat of water taken from the Perfume River that flows through Hue. Inside the Imperial City was an enclosure called the Purple Forbidden City, reserved for the Nguyen imperial family.

That blue parasol and red lip is perfect! I never thought of Vietnam as a vacation destination but it looks so culturally and visually pleasing that I am officially adding it to the list!
