DO: trust the present

I trust the present. I trust the future. Life that is lived in any other manner is an illusion created from fear.

I know that I posted this excerpt in a blogger diary a while back, but it won’t stop popping into my head.  Every time I find myself wondering about the present or the future, the lines repeat in my brain like a whispering mantra. There is a very valuable point to be recognized here.

The idea – trusting the present –is so elementarily truthful that it’s tough to understand why you ever thought another way. There needs to be faith that everything is happening for a reason. There is a path that your life will take, and detours it will meander off to, but that is what is supposed to happen. Your personality and soul will move you through life exactly how is right for you. In the end, the experiences will come together to define and form your self-identity.

So trust that what is happening in the present will teach you the lessons and take you where you need to go for the future. Live in the moment, let go of the fear, and believe in what is happening.

I’ve never replied to a post before, but I feel like this one deserves it. While I always enjoy reading the Saturday DO posts, this one came at exactly the right time in my life. It was very much needed and I thank you for that.

I have read these posts everyday Saturday, but this one spoke to me, particularly the quote under the picture. Counteracting fear with trust is difficult, but yet so relieving. Thank you for putting into words what so many people feel and struggle with, and making my mind at ease with a few truthful, thoughtful phrases.

This is so true. Sometimes, we all forget to remember this while living in our own world. This is a great reminder. Thank you.

This post really made me stop and think. Though I am diligent in my meditation practices to help keep myself remembering the present, I find my stressful days are always forcing into a hundred other directions and I need to focus on here and now. One of my favorite memories of this epiphany was while I was meditating on a rock in New Zealand. Feel free to read my diary log about my spiritual adventure and consider meditation as a tool to remind yourself and bring your mind and body back to the present. http://alexandriafisher.tumblr.com/post/14716233821/spiritual-encounter
