Video: Fun With Festival Paint!

UPDATE: This post originally ran on April 3rd 2012 but with Lollapalooza this weekend and Outside Lands next weekend we wanted to watch it again for some festival paint inspiration!

Have you guys checked out our Festival Shop? It literally has everything you need for the music-filled, sun soaked days ahead.  One of the best parts: Festival Paint.  We love using it for festival face painting and body painting, but we also love the idea of using it as an accessory year round. You can use it to create jewelry-like tribal patterns and designs that look awesome not just for festivals but for any day you want to add a little something special and unique to your look!

The festival paint comes in cute little compact cases that will fit easily in your bag, and all you need is a paint brush and some water to apply it – you can either spray the paint with a little bit of water, or dip your brush in water and dab it in the paint to apply. And if you’re not sure how to face paint, or just looking for some face painting ideas, we asked one of our fp artists to get creative with it on Jemma, and made this video as inspiration!

The song in the video is “Rainbow” by Joshua Bright

This is great. We went to phish in full body paint, very goldie al la Laugh In, but we used a latex based paint. By the end of the night we were all cracked and peely!
This was a stellar idea.

Oh my! This post got me so excited for festival season that I went right to the fp website and purchased the desert beaded sandal & suede bra with fringe! I am also loving the skull bracelets! They inspired me to make my own. I think the folks at fp will appreciate it! Totally inspired by fp spring and festival vibe! It is a pyrite skull bracelet with turquoise, lapis and coral stones sterling silver toggle clasp and spacers ~* made with love by HoneyGem

Love this. Ughhh. I want to go to all the music festivals now! So inspired. I love that you all showed the photo of artist’s hand after painting! Thanks for including that. Abstract body art, just as cool as Pocahontas’ rainbow-tribal inspired art. Perfection.

And it’s just the beginning! Chroma Coalition is yet to come, providing the first time opportunity for the public to mingle with the world’s best known body painters. Not to mention the chance to paint and be painted. More info at ChromaCoalition.com

Love this idea! It is so amazing and looks so bold. It makes a statement. Where would you wear this to? Any of these festivals near Boston?
