In honor of Record Store Day today we have a guest post from one of our home office music fanatics, Cheryl – who also writes her own music blog, My Life in Sound!
Besides the forth of July, today is my favorite day of the year. Why? Because it’s Record Store Day! Every year, this major holiday for music fans occurs in April so we can show appreciation for our local record stores, all while getting our hands on exclusive vinyl from our favorite artists. In some cities, like Austin, TX there is even a Record Store Day Crawl set up! You can search for participating record stores in your city by visiting the Record Store Day website here. All month I have been hearing about special singles and limited vinyl being released on this special day from my favorite artists, and the Record Store Day website now has a nine page list available to make your search a bit easier. Check out five singles I am excited to pick up on vinyl and my wishlist below!
Arctic Monkeys, “R U Mine?” – 7” Vinyl Releasing on Domino Records 1,340 (video)
