Destination Spotlight: Miami Beaches

Post image for Destination Spotlight: Miami Beaches

When I think of beautiful beaches, I usually picture tropical island locations…like Hawaii, Jamaica, etc… but right here in the United States we have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and some of them are in Miami FL, where we shot our May catalog. Here’s a look at a few of Miami’s best beaches!

Bill Baggs State Park

Located on the southern end of Key Biscayne, this state park is home to the Cape Florida Light house, the oldest standing structure in Miami. Often listed in the top ten beaches in the United States, it features a mile long strip of picturesque white sand and glistening waters.

Virginia Key Beach

A secluded paradise located in Biscayne Bay that allows you to take in scenic views of Miami from a quiet distance. The beach has a lush, tropical feel and is great for more adventurous activities like windsurfing and nature hikes. Be sure to stop at legendary locale Jimbo’s for ice cold beer and fresh seafood off the beaten path!

Lummus Beach

Also referred to as Glitter beach, Lummus Beach is located along Lummus Park, which spans the art deco district of Miami beach. This is where we shot much of our May catalog, and is the beach to go to for beautiful people watching! Plus its where you’ll find these adorable art deco lifeguard stands :)

The last two photos are my favorite, they’re so beautiful! I wish we had blue oceans like that here in Sweden…

To think I actually live in Florida, and have never ventured to these beautiful places! What am I thinking? Thanks for the inspiration. ( :

Thanks for sharing the top two beaches! I usually think of Miami beaches as being loud and crowded, so it was a treat to see two quieter locations.
