Free People Horoscopes

By Tracy Allen ~ Week of June 18–24, 2012

May 21-June 20

A clash between Pluto and Uranus this week foreshadows a dilemma you’ll be tackling over the next few years. Money and bodies are two things that are messy to merge—so, strange as it sounds, both financial ties and sex are ruled by your shared-resources house. That’s the part of your chart where Pluto currently resides. Uranus is hanging in your shared-interests sector, an area that rules friends and affiliations. This planetary configuration is most likely to manifest as a power struggle over money or some other sticky issue. Start looking at your exchanges with people, both one-on-one and in a group context. Is there a way to make those interactions healthier?

June 21-July 22

With change-oriented planets making waves in your partnership and career angles, your standing in one-on-one relationships and in the world has been in flux. And your utter lack of control in this matter has left you feeling rather vulnerable and uneasy. Sensitive Crabs don’t like to be exposed to external shifting tides; they’ve got enough internal ones to deal with. You need a safe haven that offers a sense of security—that’s what the shell is for! If it seems like a friend or partner is holding all the cards, or an authority figure is acting erratic, restore your sense of equilibrium by retreating to whatever safe haven you’ve got. Then get back out there.

July 23-August 22

Your health, your job or your overall daily routine needs an overhaul, and that should become apparent this week when Pluto in your duties zone spars with Uranus. Pluto is calling attention to the basics (such as eating, going to work, doing chores) that you organize your day around, and he’s coercing you to do them better. Uranus wants you to free yourself up—to travel, to study, to have radically new experiences that make you see the world in a different way. These two agendas don’t appear to mesh well, and that’s the point. How could improving your health liberate you? Can changing your daily routine open up new doors to learning? Mix and match the concepts of stuff-I-gotta-do and stuff-I-dream-of-doing, and start coming up with answers.

August 23-September 22

Uranus in your transformation zone clashes with Pluto in your joy sector this week. It’s time to break the chains that bind you in order to awaken creativity, romance and play. You need to overcome financial dependence, emotional baggage or self-imposed restrictions of some sort so you can make a fresh space in your life for matters of the heart, self-expression and possibly children (since the house of creativity is also the house of procreation.) Examine what’s holding you back and start to come to terms with the fact that changes are coming—if they’re not already happening. And if it helps you to feel more in control, it’s not a bad idea to make a plan of action, as long as you accept that things may not unfold precisely as you expect them to.

September 23-October 22

If it feels like the ground’s shifting beneath you, that’s because it is. Pluto’s disrupting your foundation angle, triggering any number of things: a move, childhood issues that need to finally be dealt with, a power struggle with a parent or a change in your family dynamic. And meanwhile, your relationship house is getting hit by Uranus’s lightning bolts, bringing encounters with unusual, unpredictable people and introducing an element of inconsistency to current partnerships and friendships. You scales girls need balance, something you’re probably lacking throughout all the tumult. Your ambition is a natural outlet during this time, so focusing on your career and other goals should bring some relief.

October 23-November 21

Your ruling planet, Pluto, has been in your cerebral sector since 2008, killing off outmoded childhood preconceptions, while also empowering your communication. Though you’re private—even secretive—by nature, when you’ve chosen to say something, you’ve done so with more force than ever. Meanwhile, Uranus has given you the urge to rock the boat in a different way. You haven’t been satisfied with your job, or perhaps just your daily routine itself isn’t working for you. The need to break free from bad habits and old patterns of time management has become readily apparent. This week, these two areas of change in your life start to confront each other. How is outdated thinking impacting your work? Can you speak up about your daily duties? Could you free yourself from habits that aren’t serving you by perceiving them in a more empowered way? The challenge is for thinking, speaking and doing to start working together.

November 22-December 21

Pluto’s been stirring the pot in your resources zone, potentially changing your source of income, your values and your attitude about money and material possessions. When he grapples with Uranus-—who’s been shaking things up in your play/self-expression sector-—the relationship between your finances and your fun will be called into question. How can new creative projects bring in cash? If you learn to manage your money better, will that enable more amusements such as hobbies and romance? Do you identify with the stuff you own and feel like it says something about you? Or does some of it weigh you down and represent an outdated version of you? Two of your goals over the next few years should be to empower yourself on a material level and to unleash your self-expression.

December 22-January 19

You Goats know there’s a major power shift happening and you’re trying to pick the winning side. Pluto in Capricorn represents the destruction of the old boys’ club, the death of the patriarchy, the dismantling of traditional structures. And upstart Uranus in rebel Aries represents angry, youthful revolt, warriors fighting for the greater good. This drama is playing out in your individual life as well as on the global stage—Occupy Wall Street, Arab Spring, the euro crisis, take your pick. Being of a certain age and having particular political leanings, you may think it’s a no-brainer who you’re rooting for. But here’s another deciding factor: The planet that’s currently in your sign (power-player Pluto) will sway you, even if you’re young and on the far-left. Caps don’t overthrow the regime; they are the regime. To complicate matters further, Uranus in Aries has his say in your chart, too—specifically, in your family angle. So even if you’re all for embracing change, it’s producing anxiety within you that can be traced back to your childhood, and possibly to a specific parent. As you attempt to put the pieces of this complex psychological puzzle together, take a fellow Capricorn’s advice: “Turn and face the strange.” ~David Bowie

January 20-February 18

With deep, dark Pluto in your subconscious zone, the deep, dark stuff lurking in your psyche has been coming to light. The things that you’ve hidden, not only from others but from yourself as well, are sneaking out in a subversive way, probably through confusing feelings and inexplicable behavior. When Pluto bumps into loose-cannon Uranus in your communication house this week, don’t be too surprised if those things start sneaking out via your mouth. Uranus rules Aquarius, and both your ruling planet and your sign are about liberation. This revolutionary planet’s presence in the verbal part of your chart favors free speech. Talking about the repressed parts of you that have been making themselves known will help you to process them.

February 19-March 20

If you’ve been growing apart from certain friends; reconciling with others; ending some friendships altogether; intensifying some; forming deeper, new friendships; joining new organizations; and dropping out of others, as disconcerting as those fluctuations have been, they’re to be expected when death-and-rebirth Pluto is in your group sector. Pluto’s current run-in with change-happy Uranus in your values zone puts an emphasis on one of the reasons behind your shifting affiliations: your shifting values. Don’t feel guilty—it really is the natural order of things. As you go through life, some of the things that you used to hold dear cease to be as important to you, while others remain constant. The list of what you value changes as you grow, and the list of people who can relate to you (and whom you can relate to) subsequently changes. This evolution can feel like a death to be mourned. It’s healthy to grieve these losses, but remember to celebrate what you had, what remains and what will be.

March 21-April 19

“You say you’ll change the constitution. Well you know, we all want to change your head. You tell me it’s the institution. Well you know, you better free your mind instead.” ~The Beatles

Unpredictable Uranus has been in your sign since March of last year, and turbulent Pluto entered your goals angle in 2008. But this week, they square off for the first time, and your natural inclination is to side with the planet that’s occupying your own sign. Chances are, you’re exhilarated by the spirit of revolt that Uranus is generating—his inherent instability coincides with your affinity for change. But at the same time, you’re sensing that the thing you’ve been working toward for years is not the be-all and end-all that you thought it was. And, with a mix of excitement and trepidation, you’re realizing that you don’t know what’s next. As precarious as this crossroads feels, rest assured it’s exactly where you’re supposed to be right now.

April 20-May 20

You’ve no doubt heard that Tauruses aren’t big on change. Your tenacity is awe-inspiring; you’re the glue that holds everything together. But you may have noticed lately that things are coming apart at the seams despite your best efforts. Revolutionary Uranus—anathema to stable Bulls—is creating rumblings in your subconscious sector, thrusting your own buried desire for change to the surface. To add to the disturbance, Pluto, lord of the underworld, is in your beliefs zone, shifting a preconceived notion that you held to be an essential truth. To sum up, this established belief is under fire from something in your own psyche. Don’t waste your formidable strength digging in your heels over it. Open up a dialogue within yourself.

I never read or really believed in horoscopes.
But YOU GUYS keep surprising me ALL THE TIME. Again, exactly what is going on with me, was mentioned..

amy -June 17, 2012, 2:58PM

are you kidding me free peopple, last week you tell me im going to gain loads of weight and this week im going to have a problem that will go on for two years!! way to go, you just ruined 2 years of my life

FP Tracy (Astrologer) -June 17, 2012, 3:01PM

Maja- I’m so glad the horoscopes are capturing what you’re going through. What sign are you?

FP Tracy (Astrologer) -June 17, 2012, 3:23PM

Amy- Old-school astrology said Jupiter in your sign could mean weight gain, because it has an expansive effect. But don’t worry about that! Jupiter’s associated with luck, optimism, travel, learning…overall, it seems to make life easier and grander when it’s in your sun sign. So the next year is considered very fortunate for Geminis. And about your Pluto/Uranus forecast this week, the battle between those two will present us all with challenges (aka growth opportunities!) for a while. At least Geminis will have lucky Jupiter in their sign to balance that out:)

ash -June 17, 2012, 6:53PM

i dont know what mine (capricorn) is saying, very complex and confusing!

marigolden -June 18, 2012, 10:34AM

My horoscope (pisces) was dead on this week. I have been reassessing friendships that have become unhealthy and trying to find new healthier ones. Very encouraging!

FP Tracy (Astrologer) -June 18, 2012, 5:21PM

Ash- Part of you wants your life to stay the same and to hold on to what you’ve got. Another part of you is excited by the prospect of change. But the idea of change also makes you anxious, and that anxiety could be linked to childhood/parents. For example, a Capricorn might be doing everything she can to keep her job at a company she’s been at for years. But she’s starting to hear about other job possibilities and hasn’t admitted to herself that they sound even more appealing than staying put. It so happens that when she was growing up, her dad kept changing jobs, and that put a financial strain on the family. So she has an unconscious fear of making a career switch. All she knows is she feels stressed at work…she doesn’t understand the whole dynamic going on inside her. Chances are, you’re not fully aware of your own conflicting desires re: maintaining the status quo vs. rebelling in some area of your life. Hope that helps!

I enjoy reading my part of horoscope.

Breath On A Window -September 18, 2012, 2:27PM

Wow. I actually did not read it in June, I just found out you have horoscopes here. Clicked the link from today’s horoscope where you say to refer to June 24th… that’s strange, not that I do not believe in horoscopes, but actually if the theme of September 17-23 week is associated with the theme of June 24th, then wow. Because this is where I am now – assessing and reassessing friendships. But yeah, I wish it was easy all the time to let people go… sometimes letting go just does not feel as natural as it is with other people.
