Makeup: How To Be A Natural Beauty

Sometimes you don’t need expensive beauty products you can be a natural beauty; I’m all about natural sources and benefits that come from the wild. There are a lot of things you can get out of herbs — they are not only great for adding interest to your cooking, but also can contribute wonderfully to your beauty regime.

The herbs below can all help towards your daily beauty regime. Nothing added, just raw herbs that will work wonders!

Lavender

Lavender is unbelievably calming — there’s no surprise that it’s one of the most popular herbs using in beauty products.  A couple of days ago I filled a bowl of boiling water with lavender buds and placed my head over the bowl, gently above the steam, with a towel over my head. It was so relaxing and my pores felt purified.

Mint

Mint is great for treating skin conditions — it has amazing antibacterial properties that can help eliminating blocked pores. You can crush a small amount of leaves until they come into a paste and massage them into areas that are irritated.

Chamomile

Chamomile soothes inflamed skin and is incredibly calming. Try soaking a cotton face towel into some infused chamomile tea and press it onto your face, it will leave your complexion looking radiant!

Rosemary

Rosemary is an acne-fighting herb — and it can help tighten the skin, too. This herb contains anti-fungal and antibacterial properties which will help prevent breakouts and plump and brighten your skin.

I went to an herb festival this past weekend, and learned so much! There are so many really wonderful plants in the world that can do so much for us.

There are so many wonderful beauty concoctions that one can make with herbs. I love making a simple toner with dried calendula and catnip herbs. It is so refreshing and helps to keep my skin clear and bright. I also love making herbal oil infusions. Thanks for sharing this!

Jemma, you totally hit the nail on the head with this one. I am all for natural beauty. I think using herbs and plants are so good for the skin and can give you that inner glow without spending hundreds of dollars at the makeup counter. Thank you so much for posting this! From a fellow Brit xxx

Yummy! Vx

I’m especially fond of lavendar (I want to plant loads in my front garden!) but I didn’t realize that herbs could help in other ways too – such as helping acne and skin problems. Thanks so much for sharing this information… Off to the garden center now!

Pretty good! Yeah Karla, we may save hundreds of dollars at the makeup counter. If you are looking for natural and long lasting results without any side effects, then organic products are the best. It will save your money as well as time waiting hours and hours at parlour.

Thanks
