Indie Music and Fashion at Pitchfork Music Festival

Despite on and off thunderstorms and pouring rain for the first two days, Pitchfork Music festival in Chicago carried on! There was still plenty of great festival fashion to be found and the line up was as fun as can be.  Here’s day one of  Pitchfork Music Festival.

The festival signature look of denim cutoffs and bralettes still hang high, a look we love. We were also seeing a lot of sport being thrown into the mix. Girls were choosing to team their denims with baseball tanks and baseball shirts, we kind of love it!

After a short afternoon trying to grab some style and dodging rain clouds we watched Dirty Projectors perform and they brought the energy right back up. Their music has that happy factor in a sweet nostalgic way. Whilst watching them perform I couldn’t help but think of fun summer times.

To finish the night, Feist headlined, and captivated the crowd with her neo-electric pixie ways. The set was a lot harder and a lot faster, different to when I’ve seen her before. She rocked her guitar hard and danced around the dance with her vocal band Mountain Man in the background. It’s always easy and inspiring watching Feist, she has a cool, way to her and is able to make “conventional” music sound pretty interesting in new ways.
