When it comes to style icons, mine are usually musicians. Right now I love the grungy, tomboy rock and roll look and no one does that better than Alison Mosshart. The Kills front-woman has a natural beauty that she toughens up with torn t-shirts, rugged denim, leather and tangled locks of long hair perpetually in her face – and it all comes together in a way that you know isn’t trying to achieve a certain look, it’s just who she is. In just a couple of weeks, I’ll be heading to Outside Lands and The Kills are one of the bands I’m most excited to see – I’m looking forward to seeing them live for the first time, and also to see what Alison Mosshart wears!
