Today’s style file is our designer for capsules – which includes our endless summer collection and our recent fp party collection. The pieces she designs are breathtaking, with special touches, fabrics and embellishments that give her dresses an air of magic and fairy-tale beauty – watch our fp party video for more about what she does. She describes her style as “vintage-hippie-goth-tomboy” but it always has an air of sophistication to it, in a bold pink lip or elegant hair style. There is also a distinct European feel which makes sense as she studied couture design in Paris. Check out more of her inspiring style below!
“Sister to the all-dark look is the equally awesome all-white look. These pants were gifted to me from a very fabulous friend of my nana’s, who has a pool in her living room. Are these not totally the pants of a woman with a pool in her living room?? This bag and my necklace are both from a work trip to India. Everything there is so beautiful and hand-touched, I need to bring an empty suitcase next time reserved for all the trinkets that must come home with me.”
“I have been on board with the printed pants trend since the early days, I think it’s really fun and an easy way to put some interest into an otherwise casual outfit. This hair-wrap situation only looks complicated- it’s actually very easy to do (see how here) and it’s a go-to look for me on days when my hair is making me mad. Little Toby is, of course, the best accessory ever.”
“I believe a shrunken leather jacket is a key piece for every girl’s wardrobe whatever her style. This one is an Alexander McQueen sample that I was given during my internship there, and needless to say I will wear it until it is dust, and then request to be buried with that dust. These shoes are favorites too, and they are nearly dust. They cracked in half during a particularly fun night of partying, but I glued them back together and continue to live in denial of the fact that they will one day no longer function as shoes.”
“I always feel really strong in a long, dark silhouette. The slip dress, which is an Intimately FP piece, feels romantic and flowy, and the t shirt keeps it angular and a bit tougher. This is one of my most beloved tees, from a Nick Cave concert I went to in London. I had to chop it up because, like most concert tees, it did not have a cute fit right off the bat.”
