2012 Olympics: McCartney Style Stands Out To Us

The McCartneys always make us British proud, and for the 2012 London Olympics they made us even prouder. Sir Paul McCartney’s closing performance of “Hey Jude” ran through the Olympic Stadium like an anthem. Waves of the lyrics filled the air as the ceremony came to a  close.

Paul McCartney wore a custom made Sergeant-Pepper-style jacket with the Olympics rings at the cuff, specially made by his daughter Stella McCartney. We also adored Stella’s style as she attended the Creative Industries Reception at the Royal Academy of Arts. She wore her own creations and the colour – cobalt blue – couldn’t be more perfect for this ceremony. See our take on Stella’s Olympic style below.

You said ‘us British’, I thought you were American?

Hi 234, I’m British and there’s a few British people here at our Home Office too!

I know it’s probably Un-Free People-y but the artists that stood out most to me were… MUSE!!! :D :D Not that Paul McCartney wasn’t good. (Could just be biased as Muse are my Favourite band. But they are British too at least)
