Sky Ferreira’s latest track “Everything is Embarrassing” has been on constant play ever since I checked “The Best New Track” category this past weekend on Pitchfork. Produced by Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes, the song is a girlie electro pop haze. It reminds me of a ‘90s prom and those days when you danced around your bedroom using a hairbrush as microphone, singing to the posters of your idols that you pasted on the wall.
The song is great – it might just be the one that breaks this pop singer to a much larger audience. Sky’s new EP Ghost is going to be released on October the 2nd and after listening to this song, we’re itching to hear more.
