Travel Nostalgia: Looking Back On A Life-Changing World Trip

These past few weeks, the travel bug has hit me hard. I am dying to go somewhere. Anywhere! I think I might know why I’m longing for a trip so badly right now: It’s been exactly one year since I returned from the most amazing trip of my life. I was so incredibly lucky to win a trip from STA Travel last year. They sent me and this awesome dude Dutch Simpson around the world for an entire summer. In exchange for the trip, we were asked to document our experience with photos, videos and blog posts – really difficult for two kids who are permanently attached to their cameras, ha!

Prior to this, I had never even left the COUNTRY, so you can probably imagine how big of a change this was for me. For 107 days straight, we traveled from city to city throughout a total of 17 countries. We were never in the same city for more than 5 days. It was absolutely insane. We met so many people, ate so much food, took so many photos, and learned so many new things. We even ate tarantulas. It was the best; such an inspiring journey. I want to share a little video I made to remember the trip, along with some of my favorite photos. I hope these will spark some memories in you guys of a past trip that you hold dear to your heart. What’s the most inspiring place you’ve ever visited? I’d love to hear!

This really reminded me to take time to find joy in life. When I was 18 I went to Africa by myself for a month to fulfill a lifelong dream of my own. Thank you for sharing your trip!
