On Friday, Brigette, Jemma and I had the opportunity to go visit PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society located in Old City, not far from our offices. It’s no secret how much we love animals here at Free People, and many of us are proud owners of animals that we’ve adopted and/or rescued. PAWS is a non-profit organization and the largest no-kill shelter in the city, dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. I’ve adopted a cat from them and have always really admired the way that they care for the animals there and work to find them loving, trust-worthy homes. It was such an honor to visit them and learn more about some of their precious animals – all of whom are available for adoption! If you are interested in any of these animals you can contact PAWS at 215-238-9901 or email them here, and to learn more about the organization and see more animals available for adoption, visit their website!
Mittens, male, age 2 -4 years
I am very friendly and even though I act shy, I love attention! My favorite season is winter because I get to knit lots of mittens.
Eva, female, age 2, domestic short hair
I am a sassy lady! I’m very playful and I have a big personality. I like to go out and cause trouble with my friends!
Bo, male, age 2 – 4 years, brown tabby
I’m just a mellow dude, I like to lie in the sun and chill out. I’m also a very good listener. :)
Popcorn, female, 1 – 2 years
I’m the perfect companion when you’re watching a movie! I love sitting on laps and I am very fond of lasers. I also like to hang out by the window and watch the people outside.
Ella, female, age 2 – 4 years, domestic long hair
I am the princess of PAWS! I love head rubs and can’t wait for my own happily ever after.
Gandolf, male, 10 years, domestic medium hair
I am a special needs cat, because I am deaf. But I love kids and will protect your home, and when I’m not saving Middle Earth I love to practice kitty yoga!
Thank you so much for having us, PAWS, and for all the wonderful work that you do!
