Just when you thought festival season was over… Austin City Limits rears its head. Austin is one lucky city, in my opinion. Not only is it an awesome place, they basically have festival season bookended, with SXSW in March and ACL in October. Here in the northeast we’ve turned our minds completely towards fall and the upcoming holiday season, but in Austin it’s still quite warm – warm enough to rock your favorite festival gear, but cool enough to stay comfortable. Although we aren’t heading down to the festival this year, here’s what we would pack if we were!
For the first day of the festival I would wear something basic with details and embellishments that make it special. The Bleach Splatter Boyfriend Jeans have an amazing wash and comfortable fit, and they make a statement all on their own. I’d pair them with the Lace Fancy Low Back Top with its special detailing, and some western boots – I’ve got my eye on these amazing Cavalier Boots. The Alameda Embellished Backpack has been on my wishlist for a while now; it’s the perfect Free People take on a classic backpack with its colorful embellishments and embroidery.
Day two: The Peacemaker Print Shapeless Dress is perfect for festivals with its loose, comfy fit and awesome print. Pair it with some Tall Socks and the amazing Olivia Tall Vegan Boot. The Culver City Crossbody makes the perfect festival bag when you just want to carry your essential belongings, and we love the retro vibe of the Metal Round Glasses.
By the time I get to the third day of a festival I usually just want to be relaxed and as comfortable as possible. I’d wear a pair of FP Denim Cutoff Shorts with Plaid Hi Low Buttondown Tunic and Olivia Tall Vegan Boot. Add some fun western accessories and a Studded Military Cap and you’re all set!
Listen to our Austin City Limits playlist and if you’re going, tell us who you’re excited to see!
