How To Wear FP Collection Boots!

We’re are excited to announce that we have launched our very own line of Free People shoes. The collection is inspired by a love of vintage designs and hand crafted details with a modern twist, using artisan leathers and materials. They suit all personalities and will add a certain uniqueness to your look. We had fun styling 3 of the boots and catching up with the designers and buyers behind the line.

We love the cool feel that the Sunbelt Ankle Boot has and how relaxed they are, we thought these would be perfect to team with some statement pants such as our Disco Sequin Harem Pant for a going out pirate style.

With a maxi dress like our Neon Lights Dress, we love the idea of teaming our Heartworn Boot, the leather is soft and the boot has an antique feel making the outfit more inspiring.

Dressing a tunic down like our New Romantics Stole My Heart Dress with some leather ankle boots like our Spellbound Ankle Boot is an easy yet fun outfit for your everyday, it’s mixing smart with casual just how we like it.

Here’s what the designers and buyers had to say about the line:

How did the FP Shoe collection come about?

Our love of vintage shoes and wanting to recreate them in a modern luxe way. The collection has hand-finished materials and unique touches which give a modern twist to the vintage samples we hunt for at flea markets!

Do you have a particular favorite style?

We love the Heartworn boot! the leather was selected for its soft lux quality … the studs are worn and antiqued to give the boot an authentic rustic look!

The sunbelt boot is the perfect boot for any time of year… you can wear it every day and it will age into the perfect worn vintage boot, a classic with a free people twist on color and distressed material.

What was the inspiration behind the first styles in the collection?

The starting point for the collection was hand-finished artisanal leathers. The team and our customers are crazy about leathers that look unique, rumpled, worn-in, with oiled effects, staining, and distressing. We are constantly searching  for leathers that already have highs and lows and nice texture when they are new, then age, wear, and patina into a story of your life over years of wear.

Will there be more Free People shoes in the future? What we can expect in the coming months?

In the coming months you can expect more great materials and textures, we will continue to introduce boots… we will be adding clogs, sandals, more heels and flats!

Hi
I am VERY disappointed. I ordered the Contra Washed boots. The right boot fit but the left boot did not. I absolutely love them and saved up 450$ to treat myself for the holidays. I normally love the clothes and have not returned anything. I am beyond disappointed that I have to return them( and pay for shipping) after saving and waiting for them. Other boots/shoes that I have ordered I have not run into that problem. Although my sister and my local shoe smith said he “may” be able to stretch them, I can’t see paying almost five hundred dollars for shoes only to go and have them fitted. I am also now scared to order any other pair , and there are quite a few I would love to.

I’ve had my eyes on the sunbelt ankle boot before they were available on the website, because I saw them in other looks around the FP website. They just went up and sold out in my size in the beige color in less than a week. I’m already soooo disappointed that I can’t get them now since I would’ve had to wait for my next paycheck. I really really hope FP will restock them. I’ve never wanted a boot soo bad and I know I won’t find anything like them any wear else! :(
