Hair Chalk For New Year’s Eve

Post image for Hair Chalk For New Year’s Eve

I usually associate hair chalk with summer and music festival season, but it recently occurred to me that it would be fun to use for New Year’s Eve as well! I’ve never actually used it before so it was fun to try it out. The two ways I liked best were choosing one bright color and making a solid streak in the hair, and using two similar shades a to create an ombre effect at the ends of my hair. Here’s how I would use hair chalk – how would you use it?

I chose this sea foam green color for the solid streak – I love how bold it is and it looks really cool when woven into a braid, too.

For the ombre style I chose pink and purple chalks and I love how they look together. I think this would look cool with your hair up in a ponytail, too!

I love this colorful pattern the chalk left on my hand! One thing to keep in mind when using hair chalk is to wear darker colors, it may come off a bit on your clothes :).

Will this work with darker hair as well? I think that I would like to give it a try, but I don’t know if the color will show.
