Every now and again I take a weekend trip to New York to stay with my sister for some different scenery and to spend some time with my sibling. I commute straight from work on a Friday night and come back on a Sunday. I like to pack light so I don’t feel strained – after all, it’s just a quick weekend trip. I always seem to keep it simple, folding one outfit delicately into my backpack with some sleepwear.
In my dream weekend bag there is a vintage dress – something that’s easy and can be dressed up or down, one pair of shoes – usually little booties because they seem to go with everything, some lingerie, and a cute nightie to sleep in. Whenever I travel I usually carry a book with me to pass the time away. Right now I’m reading Hell-Bent by Benjamin Lorr and I’m hooked! It sure helps to get lost in a book when you’re commuting. I love my dream weekend bag. It’s easy and light!

My bag would probably be the same. Minimal, no fuss stuff. I’d definitely have jeans, a flowy dress, booties, my camera, iPad, a large scarf, sunnies.
