Monday Quote: Do It With Passion

This quote is something that I’ve been trying to remember on a daily basis, in everything I do.  What’s the point in doing something if you aren’t going to give it your all? I like trying to apply this to everything – even mundane little tasks you normally don’t like doing. Last weekend I had to clean my bathroom, something I hate. But I put on some music and cleaned it as best as I possibly could, and didn’t stop there – I redecorated on top of that, adding a little mason jar full of flowers and other little pretty decorations that made me happy. I felt so accomplished and proud of myself afterwords! This especially applies to work as well – be as passionate about the simple tasks are you are about larger, exciting projects. Make it your goal this week to do everything with passion – I think you’ll like the results!

Reminds me of an Andy Warhol quote: ‘You need to let the little things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you.’ Sage advice!

I am a dancer, and during my freshman year in college I broke my foot in class during my modern dance final. I haven’t been the same since. I realized since I had to wear a boot for 3 months and was miserable, I had been taking what I love most for granted (dancing). Dancing has been a huge part of my life and without it I didn’t know what to do, it is my greatest passion. A little less than a year later I got that foot tattooed in the spot that I broke with “Live With Passion”. It is my only tattoo, it is small and meaningful but it constantly reminds me to live my life with passion and to enjoy the little things :)

I agree Julia! When you do something with passion, you will have no regrets in the long run and feel truly accomplished. I love that you used cleaning your bathroom as an example! Made me giggle :)

Liv, thanks for reminding me that time and patience heals all and not to take today for granted,.,,,tomorrow is not gaurenteed. Im a dancer, also and I broke my ballerina bone in 2009. I never thought I’d dance or wear heels again..It taught me patience with where I’m at and I’m now dancin in heels. I love your tattoo idea, thanks for sharing.
