UPDATE: This post originally ran in February but we still love transitioning light scarves into summer by coming up with creative ways to wear them!
By now I’m sure you’ve seen our latest lookbook, Like A Rolling Stone, featuring the stunning Elsa Hosk wearing some amazing boho looks with lots of eclectic prints and accessories. As I watched this shoot take place one of my favorite things was the way our stylists used scarves. To me, scarves are one of the most essential accessories you can have. There are so many ways to wear them and a good printed scarf can add just the right element of interest to an otherwise basic outfit. I’m not talking just for winter, either. I always like to have a scarf in my bag, no matter what the season – they especially come in handy at music festivals! My favorite scarf on our website right now is the Paisley Print Fringe Scarf, which was also featured in the lookbook.. This little beauty has the coolest print and prettiest colors, and the fringe tassels give it a perfect bohemian quality. Plus, the fabric is light and soft and allows it to be tied in multiple ways. Brigette and I found a corner of the office with the most beautiful light and came up with our six favorite ways to wear a scarf (one not included in the GIF above :)).
Brigette is wearing the FP Denim Cutoff and We The Free Circle In The Sand Tee. Side note about this t-shirt: everyone in our office is obsessed with it. It is actually the greatest t-shirt ever made.
Look #1: Fold the scarf in half so that it has a triangular shape, and continue to fold over until it is one long, thin piece of fabric. Wrap around the head twice like a headband, and tie in a knot to secure. This is how the scarf was worn in our lookbook.
Look #2: Simply drape the scarf around your neck – an easy way to add some print and color to a basic look.
Look #3: I love the idea of wearing this scarf as a belt! Tie it at the hip and do a little messy tuck with the t-shirt for a really cute festival look.
Look #4: Fold the scarf in half to make a triangular shape and wrap closely around the neck with the triangle part in the front. A standard way to wear a scarf, but it looks especially great with this fringe.

Look #6: Last but not least, we also love the idea of wearing this like a sarong – great for the beach or a festival! Just fold the scarf in half to form a triangle and tie around the waist. We added these awesome new Crochet Fringe Shorts underneath.
