Meet Our New Blog Intern!

For my first post as the new BLDG 25 blog intern, I thought it would be a good idea to fill you guys in on who “FP Jana” is and introduce myself! So, hello, my name is Jana and I’m stoked to be helping out the blog team for the next few months! I interned here last summer as a styling intern and it feels great to be back in the Free People environment.

I grew up in Clearwater, FL and I am in my last semester at Florida State University, and I graduate in May! It’s a bittersweet feeling to know that I will be done with my college career in a few short months. I will miss college life, but I am excited for what the road ahead of me has in store.

The Free People girl my style best identifies with is definitely Meadow. I love anything that flows and has that comfortable ease on your body when you wear it. My go-to outfit would be a maxi skirt, oversized sweater, a pair of boots, a fringed leather bag and lots of jewelry. I pile that stuff on like it’s my job. I have recently been collecting a lot of turquoise and silver pieces. I like how a touch of turquoise can really make an outfit pop.

Here are my 5 favorite FP items that I’m currently obsessing over or already have in my shopping cart :

Short River Boot , FP ONE Patchwork Maxi , Raven’s Eye Bag , We The Free Circle In The Sand Tee , Long Leather Horn Pendant

I started my own personal style blog a few years ago, so having some experience in the blogosphere is really what made me interested in this internship at Free People. I have always been a fan of the BLDG 25 blog so I am honored to have the opportunity to help out and be a part of the team. I look forward to sharing posts with you all!

  1. Ooh, I’d love to check out her personal blog if you have a link to it?

  2. she seems so cool! I seem to have a lot in common with her, love bonobo! looking forward to seeing more of Jana!

  3. I was wondering why the “Read More” feature of your articles on your website was changed. It used to be that when you clicked “Read More” the article would just expand on the current page. Now when you click on the link you are directed to a new page with just the article. I thought the previous version of the link was better in that you didn’t have to click back and forth if you were reading through multiple articles on your site. I thought that was such a clever idea (not many website have that feature), and I was just wondering why it was changed.

  4. She seems like a very cool chic….I too will be graduating this year, in July actually..I am very excited to be finishing my bachelors degree…I am ready for the road ahead..and no more paper writing ;)

  5. You are so lucky! You have no idea. I literally stalk Free People every day! lol don’t take this for granted, work your butt off. It’s plenty of people, like me, who’d love to be in your shoes :)

  6. Message to Pia: I also “stalk” FP almost every day :0) and I’m a mum of little twins and im almost 35 years old! I’m a neuroscientist/lecturer and while I LOVE my job, I need some beauty and visual inspiration too. I get it from making jewellery, and from reading this blog. Welcome Jana, you seem absolutely lovely xx

  7. That’s so exciting! I go to FSU as well! Happy to see some FP spirit with a little Nole pride:)

  8. Jana, I’m a freshman at FSU! I’m doing a project on my favorite blog for my english class and I’m including you in it. HOW COOL IS THIS? So happy for you – I love free people!

  9. Hey there! Love this post – such an inspiration to me being a fashion student at a non-art school, Indiana University. Is there any way to get in touch with you to chat and share tips on getting in the Free People work world?! Thanks :)
