Makeup Tutorial: Ombre Eyes

Our March catalog was inspired by flowers and their beautiful colors. This inspiration carried over into beauty with colorful hair and striking ombre eyes. Here, makeup artist Deanna Hagan shows us how to achieve perfect ombre eyes by carefully blending colors to mimic the way the hues of a flower bleed into each other. We love this look for spring and festival season! We think it looks best with an otherwise clean face (no mascara or lip color) to keep the look very fresh and springlike.

Products we used, from left to right: Illamasqua Powder Eyeshadow in Dizzy was our base color, followed by the Mac Powder Pigments in Fuscia and Neo Orange. Another great tip is to dab a little bit of Nars Tinted Moisturizer under the eyes when you’re finished, to ensure you don’t have any color traces under the eye.

Have fun with this look and try different color combinations that you love! Here are some of the other colors we used in our catalog.
