The streets of LA smell like jasmine, it’s true! Every morning when we left The Chamberlain, our senses were woken by sweet flowering scents making us drift happily through the West Hollywood hills. The LA voyage was a research trip where our buyers seek vintage finds for inspiration for future trends. And I… I was there to photograph our lovely Beach Designer at her Echo Park cottage and to hunt down street style at the famous Rosebowl Flea Market.
The weekend was inspiring, I got to see Laurel Canyon one evening when we ate at a beautiful restaurant called Pace, I saw how the LA girls find the balance between hippie cool, vintage finds, and contemporary fashion, and I got to see how our buyers seek out new ideas. LA was a sunny bubble, it was hard for me to leave. Here’s my photo diary from my trip.

:) it looks so amazing there, almost magical…I have always wanted to go to California, but mainly for the beach…My uncle lives in West Hollywood and I think I need to take a much needed vacay ;)
Urth is the best. It’s been two years since I lived in LA and I still crave it all the time… their almond milk lattes are to die for.
A vintage hunt! So that’s how you get the inspiration! Lovely photos that personally got me into the mood for travelling!

Went there a few years ago. I didn’t LIKE LA, but yet i got californicated. It iis something about the light there and the feeling of hope and adventure. Particularly if you drive south along the coast, towards San Diego and Mexico. I can’t wait to go back.
LA is the bomb! My absolute fave place on earth. I’ve been twice and I’m going back this summer for another taste. Love the style, the weather, the freedom… Such an amazing city! Would love to wake up to mountains and palm trees every morning. If given the chance, I would drop everything and MOVE. :)
I live in Echo Park! Can’t wait to see her home!
LA is cool. But like anywhere in the world it too can become as routine and boring as watching the grass grow. Certainly you chose a more vibrant part of town. Thanks for letting us see our City of Angels through a visitor’s eyes.
Awesome pictures! Now I want to go there.
