Homemade Refreshing Cucumber Aloe Mist for Face and Body

The word “refresh” has such a good sound to it. It makes me think of leaping into a cool pool on the hottest of summer days. This face & body mist brings about that same feeling – and it has major benefits for your skin. The rosewater helps reduce any redness and swelling of the skin, while also acting as an astringent. The cucumber soothes and softens your skin, and also provides a cooling effect. The lemon acts as a natural exfoliator, leaving your skin smooth and soft. The aloe soothes your skin, promotes blood circulation, and improves your skin’s elasticity. Here’s how to make this refreshing cucumber aloe mist.

What you need:
1 cucumber
1 squeeze of lemon
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
1 tablespoon rosewater (you can buy at a health food store or learn how to make rosewater!)

Cucumber aloe face mist ingredients

You’ll also need a blender, a cheese cloth, a small bowl, and a spray bottle to store your mixture.

What you do:
Peel your cucumber and cut it up into little pieces. Place the pieces in a blender and blend on high for about 1 minute.

Cover a small bowl with a cheese cloth and strain the juice into the bowl. I didn’t have a cheese cloth, so I used a napkin and squeezed the juice through using a tight grip.

Add the rest of the ingredients into the bowl and mix. I actually put everything back in the blender just to make sure the aloe was thoroughly mixed. Transfer your mixture into a spray bottle and mist away! You can add some distilled water if you want to dilute the mixture a bit. Store this in your fridge so that it doesn’t spoil. It should last about a week.

I was blown away by how refreshing this mist truly is. Even the skeptics around the office were made into believers! This recipe will also work great on sunburns, due to the cooling, soothing effects.

This sounds so lovely! But would it be okay without the aloe vera, or is there something I can substitute for it? My mum is extremely allergic to it.

Made this today and even my father was into it; he used it on his sunburn he got from cutting grass! I have a feeling I will be making many more batches. Was also able to use the roses my grandmother got for mother’s day to make the rosewater, to boot!

Great web site. Lots of useful info here. I’m sending it to several friends ans
additionally sharing in delicious. And naturally, thank you
for your effort!

And it’s not so much that we mind getting older, we just don’t want
everyone else to notice. Hips oils are possibly one of the most effective
natural products on the market for use in beauty and cosmetic
applications. One of the very important ways
of turning back the clock and looking younger is the type of skin care products you
use.
