Amazing Job Opportunity: Join The BLDG 25 Blog Team!

Are you an explorer, dreamer, and creative expresser? Are you passionate about writing, photography, fashion, and the Free People brand?  Do you have a voracious appetite for what’s unique and interesting, and want to share it in creative and engaging ways? We are looking for an experienced blogger to join the BLDG 25 Blog Team – this is an amazing opportunity and we’re looking for someone equally amazing to fill the role.

Could this be you…?

9 am: The sun is shining. It’s a beautiful day in Philly! You dance your way into the office, have a seat at your desk, and check the blog to make sure today’s posts all look how they should. You open a report on yesterday’s blog traffic to see how your posts did – you always want to be on top of what content the readers are responding to, and it helps inform you of what types of posts to do more or less of. You tweet a link to one of today’s posts and are stoked to see one of your favorite sites re-tweet it. Maybe they’d be interested in sharing a guest post from you sometime soon!

9:30 am: You grab a work buddy and head over to the Jharoka café for breakfast. The cutie taking your breakfast order finally remembered your name – yes! You pick up a couple of magazines at the cafe while you’re there – they’re always great for inspiration!

9:45 am: You make your way back to your desk and take some time to surf around the web.  You love seeing what other bloggers and sites are doing, and coming up with exciting new ways to share content on the BLDG 25 Blog. You can’t go a day without Pinterest, and browse through your feed a couple of times a day for more inspiration (and re-pin some beautiful images to the Free People Pinterest page while you’re at it!).

10:30 am: You found a bunch of images that are really getting your creativity going. Print them out and pin them on the inspiration wall behind your desk. That’s real-life Pinterest! :)

11 am: Time to post a photo on the Free People Instagram account! You grab some new accessories and head outside by your favorite white wooden wall. Actually, this would be a great place to shoot a photo for Friday’s blog post, too. Grab your prop and one of the other bloggers – you’ll need her help for this one.

12 pm: Time to start working on a beauty DIY for Thursday. You find a well-lit spot in the building and get to work! Should you use the 50mm lens or the wide angle? Might as well take both.

blogjob11small

1 pm: You make a quick run to the cafeteria for a delicious salad and eat while you review your photos and make selects. You take pride in your photography and the photos that get used on the blog need to be of the best quality and as visually appealing as they can be.  You’re always looking for ways to make your images even more creative, and this time you decide to overlay some words in your handwriting. You head over to the scanner, and then edit that baby in Photoshop! After your images are edited, you write your post, put everything together, and set it to be posted on its scheduled date.

3 pm: It’s snack time! Today’s special is 50-cent lattes. Grab your nearest bud and get there before the line gets too crazy. While waiting you make plans to check out a flea market that’s taking place this weekend – you’d love to take some photos there for the blog!

blogjob7small

3:15 pm: You check the blog admin for comments on your posts. It’s always awesome to see comments from regular readers (we love you!). Oftentimes readers have questions about certain items or ideas in your posts. Make sure you answer them all – you don’t want to leave anyone hanging!

4:00 pm: Our copywriter’s outfit catches your eye as she walks down the hall. You stop her and grab a photo for this week’s “office style” post! You take a quick walk around the building to see who else has an outfit that’s on point today.

blogjob12small

5 pm: You log into your FP Me account and upload a shot of yourself in your new FP harem pants. You browse the style pics gallery, and heart and share your favorite shots.

5:15 pm: You want to get a head start on one of your posts for next week. You’re going to Pitchfork music festival and could not be more excited! Make your way up to the web studio and pick out some outfits for your “What To Pack” post.  While there you spot model Sheila Marquez leaving the studio looking amazing – you snap a quick photo of her off duty style for the blog and instagram!

6 pm: The day is coming to an end. You check over your posts that are scheduled for tomorrow to make sure everything is in place, and take one last glance at the comments to make sure no other questions or concerns have popped up.  Then you’re off to meet some friends at your favorite neighborhood restaurant! :)

Omg!!! I want this job so bad!! Why do I have to live in Kansas??!? Ugh. I’ll be finishing my bachelors degree on Monday and I just started a blog about a year ago. I’m so sad :( I’m willing to relocate, but can’t at this moment. Hopefully this opportunity pops up again in a year :). Fingers crossed. Lol

I’m in no position to apply for this job (18 and living in the UK) but oh my god do you know how to give me so much more inspiration for my blog. I WANT MY DAY AT WORK TO BE LIKE THAT! I just want to say thank you for clearly making so many bloggers dreams come true – because blogging is such a huge passion!

Oh. My. GOD. This is my absolute DREAM job, unfortunately for this I’m going into my sophomore year of schooling in Boston. But I already have the FP job opportunities page bookmarked on my laptop, so I’ll definitely be applying for an internship next summer or the one after that!

A day in the life of my dream job…if only it were available three years from now when I will hopefully have my BFA and be searching for this EXACT job! The job description is the cutest thing I have ever seen, why can’t every job be like this? I mean seriously, how could you not be happy working for Free People…the pics on this job description make me smile just looking at them! Whoever is chosen to fill this spot is THE luckiest person in the world, and congrats to you!!

I am constantly reading your blog. I feel like I know all of the current bloggers already! It’s funny to see everyone say this is a DREAM job. I don’t know about all of that, but it is an amazing job – with an amazing brand.

To work at Free People is my dream job! Seriously, I would love to join the free people team. It’s almost sad that I love where I live. Florida is a bit to far from Philly. Either way, I love the Free People blog and maybe one day if I get sick of this old little beach town I’ll go live my dream as a Free People team member! :)

Hey FP ladies! Is it possible to work this job remotely? I’m looking for something to do during the weeks as my current job in Chicago is just weekends and I have literally been dreaming of working for Free People since I began my career in journalism. Would love the opportunity to join the blogging team :)

This job sounds like a dream! Fashion and blogging and photography! What could be better?? I am definitely looking forward to great opportunities like this when I graduate.

It has been my dream for a very long time now to work with free people, and as of more recently, to blog with you. I started my own lifestyle/diy blog this year and it has been an awesome experience, and I have been so inspired by the free people blog from the start! I only hope that when I graduate from college there will be an opportunity like this for me. Please check out my blog if you can! (brownfinches.tumblr.com)

Sounds like a perfect gig. Is there a way this job can be done long distance? I live in Atl, and don’t really see myself moving to Philly in the next few years. I love to check out this blog, so many nifty posts. DIY, fashion, and writing are all my very passionable hobbies. Actually, its not just a hobby, it is (as cliche, as it might sound) my lifestyle. Please let me know if the long distance thing can be worked around. Thank you.

That sounds such a nice job!! I came to America from Japan three months ago, and I fell in love at first sight with Free People♡ I wish I could get the job, but I have to graduate college first…:'( I’m excited about reading the posts that are written by a new blogger, though!
