zodiac sign illustrationVIRGO

August 23–September 22

Strong self-worth and gratitude for what you already have will stand you in good stead when Venus in your values zone clashes with planets in your relationship, communication and fulfillment houses this week. A friend, significant other or sibling could cause your confidence to waver. And your desire for something might override financial common sense. Resolve to guard your own security in both cases. The full moon in your service zone signals a shift in your schedule or a work-related matter coming to a climax. You instinctively know—just before the sun enters your sign—that it’s time to wrap something up before you can begin anew. There’s a wide range of potential new goals in your head, and moving in a different direction may seem to require severing ties of some sort. Don’t get too ahead of yourself. When the sun and Mercury move into Virgo and join forces later in the week, you’ll be more equipped to think seriously about what’s next, and yet Neptune introduces an element of fantasy to your thoughts. Use your imagination to help you picture the coming year, then combine it with Virgo practicality for a better chance of making it real.

zodiac sign illustrationLIBRA

September 23–October 22

Venus is in Libra, warming your heart—a feeling you’ll want to hold onto this week as she runs into her share of trouble with three other planets. Low energy, work chaos, financial constraints, a lack of confidence, a controlling parent or turmoil at home could disturb your pleasant mood. With the sun and Mercury in your network sector, you’re putting energy into your role in a group and thinking about where you fit in and what greater contribution you’re making. But the full moon in your joy zone encourages you to also consider your need for personal satisfaction, creativity, happiness and love. Doing good and feeling good are intertwined. Fulfilling your purpose is a win-win, benefiting both you and the world. Your aspirations are being elevated by bountiful Jupiter in your ambition angle, and you may feel impatient to get others on the same page with you. Don’t get frustrated when that doesn’t happen. Turn inward instead, taking time for self-reflection and spirituality.

zodiac sign illustrationSCORPIO

October 23–November 21

You’re craving a slice of solitude, with social Venus in your seclusion sector, but Venus’s run-ins with other planets make quiet hard to come by this week. Creativity, children, a love affair, work and the intense churning in your brain could get in the way. You’re focused on your career or other goals at the moment, but the full moon calls your attention to the need for a healthy home base. This lunation is challenging you to balance worldly ambition and emotional security, pointing out that they’re interrelated. You’re aiming incredibly high lately, thanks to gigantic Jupiter in your beliefs house. Meanwhile, Uranus is trying to get you to alter your routine and wake up to new opportunities. When Jupiter and Uranus clash this week, doing things differently—even structuring your day differently—can open up your perspective and build your faith in what you’re able to achieve. As the sun and Mercury segue into your hopes-and-wishes zone, your mind turns to what’s next for you, and your yearning for personal fulfillment is likely to color your thinking, possibly making it somewhat vague. Talk to people who support your growth in order to gain insight.

zodiac sign illustrationSAGITTARIUS

November 22–December 21

You’re in a social mood, thanks to amiable Venus in your group zone, but when Venus mixes it up with three other planets, your mood could change. A family or money issue, self-doubt or a feeling of alienation may make you want to pass on seeing people at some point this week. But it’s important to stay connected, as the full moon in your communication sector is apt to bring new information to light that will reignite your enthusiasm. You’re expecting a lot from a partnership or from digging deeper into your own reserves of strength, and a spark of excitement could trigger an urge to break free from those expectations. Or it could lead to fresh creativity, love and pleasure. It’s all in how you handle it. As the sun and Mercury ascend to the top of your chart, shift your focus to your current standing. Something may be about to gel in your career, and although you’ll find it difficult to concentrate, try to keep your mind on the nearest goal.

zodiac sign illustrationCAPRICORN

December 22–January 19

Your public or professional status is of great interest to you now, with valuable Venus in your ambition angle, but her squabbles with other planets could throw you off track this week. A desire for prestige may lead you to put out a garbled message, stray from longer-range goals or make a power play. The personal transformation you’re going through can get overwhelming at times, and the fact that some elements of it rely on others’ cooperation may not sit well with you. The emotions that the full moon brings out can help you to see this. Your need for self-reliance is at odds with sharing, partnership and trust, and both ends of the spectrum should be given their due. There’s a lot going on inside you that people can’t fathom, but you’re still bound to others, no matter how separate your inner turmoil may make you feel. Allow your faith to build as the vibrant sun and mental Mercury come together in your beliefs house. And let your mind come to rest in a place of not knowing.

zodiac sign illustrationAQUARIUS

January 20–February 18

This week’s full moon in your sign can point out which preconceived notions about your identity need to give way so that new qualities can take shape. Your sensitivity will be heightened at this time, and you’re likely to feel more emotional than usual. You’re craving adventures and want to believe in a different future for yourself. And your concept of what you could be doing every day is starting to expand. You’re either taking on more responsibility at work or forming a different opinion about your potential job growth. Unruly Uranus in your mindset house elicits impatience for such changes to happen faster. Realize that your point of view itself is changing, rather than taking immediate action. Career delays, finances and subconscious anger dampen your mood, but as the sun and Mercury slip into your sharing zone, you’ll find that opening up to someone you trust can ease your burden. One-on-one intimacy is cathartic at the end of this somewhat trying week, so get up close and personal.

zodiac sign illustrationPISCES

February 19–March 20

Your desire for closeness may be exacerbated by over-romanticism this week, with affectionate Venus in your intimacy zone clashing with dreamy Neptune in Pisces. And you want very much to be able to bank on someone’s support as you shift your life direction. But the full moon nudges you to find some alone time for meditation or contemplation, as the busyness of daily life is draining you. Another source of frustration: Your drive for personal fulfillment through creativity, love or procreation is threatened by erratic confidence or unstable finances. The area of your life that you most want to expand could feel rather shaky as a result. But with the sun and Mercury crossing your partnership angle and teaming up, you’re reminded that you’re not alone. Other people may confuse you (and vice versa), but don’t lose faith. See if you can free yourself from self-deception while still viewing others through a Piscean lens of empathy, intuition, compassion and acceptance.

zodiac sign illustrationARIES

March 21–April 19

With the sun and Mercury in your fulfillment zone, your mind is on what will make you happy, and your energy is veering in that direction. But the full moon in your network sector presses you to factor in friends’ feelings and to think in terms of your contribution to the world when you ponder personal fulfillment. Your impatience is triggered this week, giving you the urge to take hasty action. However, your expectations and your impulses aren’t on the same page. And the equilibrium between you and others could be thrown off by your unease, caused by the highly varied velocity of change in your life. You’re happy to keep things moving, but you’re not thrilled with all the blanks that you can’t fill in yet. When the sun and Mercury move into your competence house and band together late in the week, that’s your cue to do the work in front of you and methodically improve your skills, rather than trying to force the pace.

zodiac sign illustrationTAURUS

April 20–May 20

The full moon in your ambition angle this week brings a career turning point, albeit a relatively moderate one. You may be inclined to play it safe, but at the same time, you feel a need for a certain level of public standing. The abundance of options in your head could seem overwhelming when combined with a half-conscious itch to do something radical to effect change. You’re not getting exactly what you want from people, and if you do a bit of reflecting, you’ll realize you want something quite specific. If your plans—possibly including travel or education—are impeded, center yourself more in the here and now. The sun and Mercury segue into your joy sector, bringing their respectively vibrant and playful energy to the pursuit of present pleasures. Enjoy yourself in the moment, and express your creativity and your feelings.

zodiac sign illustrationGEMINI

May 21–June 20

The sun and Mercury are in your cognition sector, enlivening your natural curiosity, and when they oppose the full moon this week, your predilection for getting the scoop is weighed against the need for meaning. Gemini is all about the open-ended question, yet this lunation lures you on a quest for more definitive answers, a quest that will likely give you a thirst for adventure, travel and learning. Expansion is a priority for you, but you’re getting inconsistent results when you try to team up. That fact hits home now and makes you feel even more like going your own way. Amiable Venus in your enjoyment zone increases your desire to play, but Venus’s skirmishes with other planets mean work, money, relationships and responsibilities could interfere with your good time. As the sun and Mercury cross into your domestic angle and sync up there, you’re prompted to ground yourself by attending to your home and providing your own sense of comfort when the outside world fails to provide it.

zodiac sign illustrationCANCER

June 21–July 22

The full moon in your intimacy zone highlights the need to be close to people, to have someone you trust to confide in and to be known inside and out. At the same time, planets in your worth and roots houses are pulling you to rely on yourself and your own resources. Part of you wants to feel safe and secure, but the uncertainty of the future and the power that others hold over you unsettles you occasionally. And yet, your sense of possibility is stratospheric lately, thanks to Jupiter in Cancer. For now, it doesn’t entirely mesh with the opportunities that are popping up—and that disconnect can make you want to jump at the wrong things. With the lively sun and curious Mercury moving into your communication-and-cognition sector, turn your attention to gathering information and keeping in frequent contact with people whom you can learn from. You may be a bit bewildered now, but maintaining a beginner’s mind will work wonders for you.

zodiac sign illustrationLEO

July 23–August 22

Your inclination to connect with people could be thrown off this week, due to a full moon in your relationship angle and social Venus’s uneasy encounters with three other planets. Simple closeness may seem unattainable, and you’re reminded of the dedication required to sustain an emotional safe haven—be it a stable home life or an inner solidity. You’re ruled by the sun, the luminary around which all of the planets in our solar system revolve, and your sign thus carries with it a degree of egoism. As a Leo, your mission is to shine. But the moon prods you to balance your drive to shine against the needs and feelings of others. As the sun and Mercury leave your sign and enter your resources house, your focus naturally shifts. This birthday season likely awakened your will to make something more of yourself, and now you’re charged with figuring out how you’ll do that. You need to assess what you’ve got going for you—your innate gifts, your more fully developed talents, your finances and possessions, your confidence—and work from there.
