Apple Spice Smoothie Recipe

Fall food probably has the most distinctive flavors of any season.  This time of year, pumpkin, squash, apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg (to name a few), seem to take over your taste buds, popping up in dishes everywhere you look.  I love making smoothies and part of the reason why is that you can experiment so much with them, adding different combinations and testing out different flavors.  I was inspired by the change of seasons to try out an apple spice smoothie for fall — I swear it tastes just like apple pie, but it’s good for you! Get the recipe below — what’s your favorite smoothie to make in fall?

Apple Spice Smoothie (Makes 1 Serving)

1 apple, sliced

1 cup almond milk

1 handful spinach

1/2 tsp cinnamon

pinch of nutmeg

1 cup ice

Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with a pinch of cinnamon and enjoy!

  1. Just made this and it was so good!!! I used a green apple instead and added a bit of agave nectar to make it into a sweeter treat; YUM!
