Free People Horoscopes, Week Of December 16-22

Horoscopes by Tracy Allen.

sagittarius star sign illustrationSAGITTARIUS

November 22–December 21

The full moon lights up your relationship house this week and opposes the sun and Mercury in your sign, emphasizing the importance of considering others’ needs. Your ego’s urges, your thinking and your words may jar someone’s feelings or collide with a partner’s expectations. If you sense tension, talking your way through it may not be the answer, as the other person is likely to be touchy. Instead, simply set a tone of equality and respect between you and other people. As Uranus goes direct in your personal-fulfillment house after a five-month retrograde phase, new routes to love, creativity and joy should start to open up. The sun leaves your sign later in the week, heading into your resources zone and getting you to focus on fiscal matters, self-worth, ownership and values. At the same time, Venus turns retrograde there, prompting you to pore over your finances, rethink your priorities when it comes to spending and saving, review your attachment to specific possessions and consider the connection between your values and self-image and your financial behavior.

December 22–January 19

Pay close attention to your ego and your mentality this week, as the sun and Mercury are in your subliminal sector and may be operating counter to your conscious desires. The full moon in your daily-routine zone reminds you to attend to your job, your health, your duties—or possibly your colleagues’ feelings. This moon is likely to trigger some sort of denouement that can reveal where there’s room for self-improvement. The sun’s entry into your sign marks the winter solstice later in the week, commencing what is traditionally your time to shine. But within hours, Venus turns retrograde in Capricorn, adding a twist to your birthday season. You’ll have the energy and drive to do your thing, but at the same time, a large part of you will feel disengaged from others. During the coming 41 days, you’re bound to turn inward, possibly becoming drawn to creativity and almost certainly ruminating over love and relationships. You can make positive use of this period of withdrawal by contemplating self-worth, self-image and self-love and figuring out what you want to draw into your life.

aquarius star sign illustrationAQUARIUS

January 20–February 18

Your need to express what’s inside you through creativity, affection and play could compete with work and groupthink when the full moon in your self-expression sector has differences with five other planets this week. Full moons are largely about balance, so follow your heart’s impulses but keep responsibilities and other people in mind and be open to compromises. With your ruler Uranus going direct in your mentality zone, your brain should get a gradual infusion of energy that churns anticipation. Let new channels of thought open up, painting a kaleidoscopic picture of your future. The sun enters your metaphysical house on the winter solstice, and later that day, Venus turns retrograde there. Your energy downshifts, as you turn away from the outer world to commune with the soul. Over the next 41 days, you may choose to review the past year; reorient your life so it’s more in accord with your internal values; recommit to a spiritual practice; search inside yourself for the truth of what you want in 2014, uncovering where your heart lies and admitting where it no longer does; and muse on the meaning of life.

pisces star sign illustrationPISCES

February 19–March 20

Your goals or professional life may be at odds with creativity, kids, romance, travel, home, family, friends and socializing this week when Mercury and the sun in your ambition angle clash with several other planets. With the full moon spanning your private and public zones, the bottom line is really just to balance as best you can. The moon is telling you to honor your needs and your feelings, despite everything whirling around you, or even because of it. Getting emotionally grounded is fundamental now. Right after the sun enters your hopes-and-humanity sector at the end of the week, Venus turns retrograde there. A lot of your energy will be directed toward teamwork, new objectives, philanthropy, friends, networking, group activities and professional organizations. But at the same time, you’ll be puzzling over these matters and trying to find your place in the scheme of things. What do you want next? Where do you fit in with people? What contribution can you make to the greater good? Such questions will run through your mind between now and January 31, giving you a chance to sort these issues out for yourself.

aries star sign illustrationARIES

March 21–April 19

The full moon in your information zone this week brings emotional news or arouses your need to question things, and it can also point out the discrepancy between your everyday environment and your ideal vision of the future. Uranus has been in Aries for almost three years, giving you a different perspective on your identity and sometimes making you feel rather outside yourself. This revolutionary planet has stimulated your dissatisfaction with the old you, giving you the motivation to change and stirring up a mixture of anticipation, excitement and anxiety. It’s turning direct now after a five-month retrograde phase, during which time you were internally reassessing your progress. And as it gradually gets back up to speed in the coming weeks, you should feel some pent-up frustration releasing. With the sun entering your ambition angle and Venus turning retrograde there at week’s end, your focus continues to shift to the current status of your goals. For the next 41 days, you’ll be reevaluating your calling in life and weighing how you feel about the path you’re on.

taurus star sign illustrationTAURUS

April 20–May 20

The full moon in your resources zone this week could provoke a power struggle, an argument over money or a spate of spending. Avoid overreacting, and be clear with yourself on the difference between needs and wants. Full moons heighten emotions, and with this one falling in a house associated with “I have” (a Taurus theme), you’re apt to get worked up over possessions, finances, sharing, self-esteem, jealousy or trust. But the most notable news for your sign is that Venus is turning retrograde until the end of January. In the coming weeks, you may find yourself reminiscing about a trip, missing someone who opened up a new world to you, longing to be in a different place and time and pondering your beliefs, faith and ideas about the future. During this time, you’ll withdraw to contemplate the ways in which pushing boundaries, learning and having new experiences will make you happier. Staying in the moment is usually one of the keys to contentment, but with your ruler backtracking in your vision house, it’s constructive to review the past and conceptualize the future.

gemini star sign illustration 2GEMINI

May 21–June 20

Relationships and communication could be a little tricky this week when your ruler Mercury runs into trouble with too-much Jupiter and not-enough Saturn, and the full moon in Gemini struggles with five other planets. Try to be a good listener, saying less than you’re tempted to. Tune into your feelings and tend to your own emotional needs rather than trying to get them met by others. If you become overwhelmed, take a breather and mother yourself. Note if something is trying to shift inside you, and dislodge fossilized feelings that are blocking the flow of change. As the sun moves into your hidden-matters house and Venus goes retrograde there, you’re pulled to dig deeper into your psyche. Between now and the end of January, you may dwell on someone you were attached to in the past; crave intimacy, trust and sharing but feel them eluding you; muse on what you really want from relationships; and if you’re lucky, get closer to understanding what’s in your heart.

cancer star sign illustrationCANCER

June 21–July 22

Your optimism, enthusiasm, private feelings or reclusive mood could conflict with your job, health or general busyness this week when Jupiter in Cancer and a full moon in your subconscious sector clash with planets in your duties house. Take your emotional temperature to understand what’s unsettling you and what will make you feel better. Solitude and spirituality are the go-to cures for what ails you now and can prevent you from reacting to the situation in a way that goes against your own best interest. The sun crosses your others angle at the winter solstice, putting more emphasis on relationships, and on the same day, Venus turns retrograde in that part of your chart. So while your focus gravitates to the people closest to you, you’ll feel like they’re pulling away or not giving you what you want. As a sensitive sign, you’re likely to take it personally; try your best not to. Venus will lure you into nostalgia for a past relationship, but use the next 41 days to reflect intently on your connections, explore what you desire from them at present and reprioritize accordingly.

leo star sign illustrationLEO

July 23–August 22

You could feel pulled in different directions when an excitable full moon in your group sector conflicts with five other planets this week. Emotional drama with friends, colleagues or an organization you belong to are possibilities, or you may suddenly feel like your social obligations are too much. Being yourself will seem at odds somehow with the needs of a group. Family, work or spirituality may also come into conflict with your social life, your love life or professional networking. But with independent Uranus going direct in your vision sector after five months retrograde, your optimism will gradually return if it’s waned, and your anticipation over broadening horizons builds. As your ruler the sun enters your details-and-duties house at the winter solstice, you’ll become more focused on your job, health, diet, fitness, daily routine, time management, habits, pets, chores, errands, skills and responsibilities. With Venus turning retrograde there hours after the sun changes signs, a reevaluation process of many of these issues will begin. Follow your heart and concentrate on aligning self-improvement with your inner values.

virgo star sign illustrationVIRGO

August 23–September 22

Mercury in 4th quincunxes Jupiter retro in 11th & semisextiles Saturn in 3rd; full moon in 10th opposes sun-Merc in 4th, quincunxes Venus in 5th, semisextiles Jupiter retro in 11th & quincunxes Saturn in 3rd; Uranus stations direct in 8th; sun in 4th semisextiles Venus in 5th; sun enters 5th; Venus stations retro in 5th

Family or home life could be out of sync with friends when Mercury in your foundation zone rubs Jupiter in your social sector the wrong way this week. Then the full moon in your authority-and-ambition angle battles five other planets, possibly bringing drama with a boss or parent or even between your parents. But the overarching theme of this lunation is the need to strike a healthy balance between your outer and inner lives. You may realize that a goal you’ve been pushing yourself to reach no longer suits your needs and doesn’t mesh with what’s going on inside you now. Take a cue from Mercury nestled at the bottom of your chart, and go within to listen to what your feelings are telling you. Soon after the sun enters your joy sector, Venus turns retrograde there, bringing a combination of yang life force and yin sentiment. You may be amped up to enjoy yourself, but wistfulness seeps into the atmosphere. Past loves and old sources of happiness become emotionally charged. Reexamine your heart’s desires so you can prioritize accordingly when Venus turns direct at the end of January.

libra star sign illustrationLIBRA

September 23–October 22

With a full moon landing in your expansion sector this week, travel, education or religious beliefs could be out of sync with your mindset, family, work or money. It’s easy to get emotional now over what you believe to be right, but keeping a clear head is advisable, as you may be able to see that a presumably ingrained truth is actually rather fluid. The sun’s entry into your roots angle coincides with the winter solstice, but later that day your ruling planet Venus begins her 41-day retrograde period in the same part of your chart. Nostalgia is natural during the holiday season, and we’re all likely to feel it with sentimental Venus glancing back over her shoulder. Childhood memories, familial relationships, old emotions and your personal feelings about family, home, comfort, safety, roots, the past and ancestral baggage may all become more important to you now, as your heart presses pause, freezing the frame on an image of love that underlies everything and provides your innermost foundation.

scorpio star sign illustrationSCORPIO

October 23–November 21

With planets in your worth and sharing houses sparring with each other as well as with planets in your beliefs zone, your communication sector, and your sign, finances, trust and self-confidence could be bones of contention this week. The full moon is at the center of this planetary drama, indicating that you need to try to find the best middle ground that you can—and accept that life often requires us to assimilate disparate factors and find ways to resolve them. At the winter solstice, the sun moves into your mentality zone, filling your head with questions, ideas and thoughts. But Venus’s retrograde turn there on the same day lures your brain both inward and into the past. You’ll feel more introverted and also more nostalgic for the next 41 days, as Venus gets you to go back over so many things in your head. Reviewing past relationships, rethinking what you assumed you wanted, revising creative projects, pondering what love means to you, rewriting the script of your life story after deep introspection—all of this will occupy you in the coming weeks.

I don’t comment, however after browsing some
of the responses on this page Free People Horoscopes, Week Of December 16-22.
I do have a couple of questions for you if it’s okay. Is it simply me or do a few of these comments look
like they are coming from brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing
on other places, I’d like to follow you. Could you post a
list of all of your public pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
