Charlotte and Foster. A story of family, friendship, and getting back to our roots. The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of these two… is warmth. The way that they welcomed us into their store (the beautiful Trove General Store, located in the Philadelphia suburbs), and then their home; you get the sense that that is how they welcome everyone — with open arms, open hearts, and maybe even a beer and a sandwich. Their eyes light up as they talk about each other, telling the story of their first meeting, and how he tricked her into coming over for “Movie Night” – an elaborate gathering complete with a big screen, popcorn machines, and more – that was all done just for her. They’ve been together ever since, and although they aren’t married just yet, these two are already family. They live with her sister, and visit her mom at the family farm every day, and wouldn’t want it any other way. They work together, running their store, and they play together — most often, through their love for riding horses and the outdoors. The ties between them all are so strong, and it’s a beautiful thing to witness. Once they’ve welcomed you into their home, with the fire burning and sleepy Augustus, their new pup, curled up in your lap — you will never want to leave. There’s a quote on their website that I wanted to share here as well:
“Nature is not a place to visit. It is home.” ― Gary Snyder
Thank you for a beautiful day, you two! Can’t wait for the wedding!
