FP Me User We Love: Sloppy Elegance

If you love accessorizing, you’ll dig this girl. Here at Free People, we love piling on the jewels. From stacked up bracelets to numerous necklaces, we are everything but shy of accessories. Allow me to introduce you to someone who shares the same affinity for them: Chelsea…the lovely gal also known as Sloppy Elegance. Her boho style mixed with beautiful imagery makes this girl’s FP Me profile one to star. Read on to get to know more about this pretty lady!

Where are you from? How did where you grew up shape the person that you are today?

Born and raised in Orange County, CA.  I think it made me very grateful and not to take things for granted. I am so fortunate to have grown up so close to the beach, a few hours from the mountains, and the desert. I’m pretty easy going and down to earth.

How do you spend most of your days?

I work full time as a Visual Merchandiser, so most of my days are spent at work. However, weekends are always full of fun! I usually go to Palm Springs with my husband, the beach with friends, or just hang out at home. (My husband and I  just became homeowners so that’s been taking up a lot of our time!)

Describe your personal style.

My blog name actually came from the way I describe my personal style. Sloppy Elegance. I’m always a little sloppy looking but always seem to be put together… Sorta. Love messy hair and oversized tees. I just love being comfortable.

What inspired you to start your blog? How long have you been blogging for?

My girlfriends actually inspired me to start my blog. I was always the go-to “fashionista” in my group. They would always ask me for tips or just to borrow clothes out of my closet. So I finally decided I should start a blog to hopefully inspire others outside of my close group of girlfriends.

If you could wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Cut off shorts, the most perfect tee, ankle booties + layers of jewelry.

The way you style your accessories in your FP Me pics is always amazing. Do you have any tips on how to layer on a lot of jewelry without making it look like too much?

Well thanks! It helps having a close friend that makes and sells jewelry! Lisa of St.Eve Jewelry taught me to not be afraid to pile it on. So I think my advice would be one in the same. Stacks on stacks and mix metals. When I wear more basics I love to pile on my outfit with jewelry. It just instantly elevates the look.

What is the most amazing place you have ever traveled to?

Definitely for my honeymoon. We traveled to St. Thomas, US Virgin British Islands.

What inspires you the most?

That’s a hard one! So many things inspire me. Probably to keep it simple would be people in general. Everyone has their own taste and style + I love to people watch.

What current Free People products are on your wishlist?

What’s not on my wish list should be the question! The new catalog with Erin Wasson… I mean so good!  My top 5 currently would have to be We The Free Stripe Beach House TankOn the Open Road Lace TunicDesert Sun Tie Dye HaremSierra Nevada Shoeboot, & Matador Hat.

What does being free mean to you?

You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe. Trust. Let go. And see what happens.

Should the need not arise then you will end up owning your home outright quicker and enjoy life without a mortgage
payment. This letter is regarding my home loan request as

If you finally found the right one, make things legal and
do not forget to have the agreement written on papers and have
it signed by both parties. Another aspect that you need to
decide is the medium through which you will search for the lender.
If you want to fulfill your American Dream of owning
