Home Tour: Juniper & Fir

Take a deeper look into our location for our Thai Blue Sky look book featuring the home of Maya of Juniper & Fir!

The inspiring space of an ever-evolving artist. On the weekdays she manages the visual aesthetic of our Sherman Oaks store… but on nights and weekends she gets entangled in a world of indigo dying, weaving, and sewing.

Her loft lies in a building that was once a dairy creamery – reminders of the industrial space still live on and add unique character to the loft. As you enter you instantly feel the illumination of the light that breaks through the large windows enclosing the apartment. Hanging plants and indigo accents warm the space, making you feel right at home. Hand made shelves lined with books & albums – a collection of inspiration she and her boyfriend have gathered – fill the living room. A stairway leads you to her bedroom that overlooks the entire space…rope and materials gather on the sides of the bed – for true artists never sleep. A hallway leads us to her jewel, her escape, a place to let go and break free: A rooftop garden overlooking downtown Los Angeles where greenery grows wild under the sunshine. Step inside Maya’s inspiring abode, and watch the video that accompanies our lookbook “True Blue.”

  1. Oh no, I was feeling so inspired until I saw the model posing as the actual artist. Why not show her, since it is about her? Sigh, we live in shallow times.

  2. Fp is loosing it, I know you’ve searched for a place for the lookbook and found this artist, but how could you skip to feature the actual Amazing artist and go with the model? Models have they worth, they turn into reality an imaginary world, but when it’s a real world it just feels fake. I’ve sensed that when I watched the vídeo and I hadn’t saw this post. It’s like you are mocking the artist and the model!
